Your Guide To The Annual Flu Vaccine

Stay Healthy in Delray Beach! Both Express Docs locations have received their flu vaccines and are ready for walk-ins.

Flu Shot at both locationsWe offer two options for the flu vaccine:
  • Regular Flu Vaccine (For 6 Months and Older): This one is for most people, including children who are at least 6 months old. The vaccine helps protect you when exposed to the influenza virus.
  • Flu Vaccine for 65 and Older (High-Dose or Adjuvanted Vaccine): This one is a bit stronger and is designed for people who are 65 years and older. As we get older, our immune system gets weaker, so this vaccine elicits a stronger response to give older folks extra protection.
Every year, Express Docs recommends getting the flu vaccine to help you stay healthy and strong during flu season. Getting the flu vaccine doesn’t guarantee you won’t get sick, but it makes it less likely. It is a simple and important way to protect yourself and others from becoming  sick.

Express Docs uses “preservative-free” flu vaccines. A type of flu vaccine that does not contain the preservative thimerosal. Preservative-free flu vaccines come in a single-dose vial, or pre-filled syringes.
